September 23, 2009

Motivation is the main ingredient that determines your success in everything, include weight loss. Motivation will not help you to get started on your weight loss journey, they will help you to stay inspired. And here motivational weight loss tips:

1. At first, make a list of the reasons why you want to lose weight. Such as being healthier, looking great in skinny jeans, fitting into that little black dress, and etc.

2. Then, make a list of all the reasons you will succeed. These are your strongest desires and wishes. Read them as often as possible through the day. Read with emotion, at how happy and grateful you will be when you've reached your goal.

3. Don't try to follow to strict of a weight loss plan. If you can't live without carbs, don't try to go on a low carb diet. Your diet plan needs to be one that fits your personal likes and dislikes. It needs to be customizable to your lifestyle. Find a weight loss plan you like this and it will be easier for you to stay on track.

4. Keep a diet diary. It helps you to become conscious of what you are eating. You also need to write down your feelings while eating it also helps you determine the why... Are you eating out of hunger or out of emotion?

5. Cheat day. It's simply a day where you can have your favorite dessert, high calorie foods like pizza, or a night at your favorite restaurant. You're not denying yourself of these foods, you are simply limiting when you have them. It also helps you ride the wave when cravings hit. Know that cravings will disappear after about ten minutes by turning your attention elsewhere.

6. Reward yourself. Your rewards should be non food related. Good rewards should be something you enjoy and consider a treat. It can be a long hot bubble bath, a day at the spa, a new haircut, getting your nails done or you can do your favorite hobbies.

7. Report to a friend your successes and set backs on a daily basis can do wonders. It motivates you to stay on track, so you can give a good report at the end of the day. It's also easier to stay on a diet and exercise plan if you have a friend doing it with you. You can share your dreams and your fears with each other, to stay inspired and motivated.
