Face the Weight Loss Challenge

September 25, 2009

The more weight you want to lose, the bigger the challenge. So, throw away those negative feelings you have about weight loss challenge. If you want to do that, you should change your brain chemistry, but don't despair. Here the tips:

1. Monitor what and how much you eat, especially high calorie, fast foods. Be aware that these types of foods may actually cause overweight people to overeat. It’s also important to limit portions of fast food if you are trying to diet.

2. Eat your meal, start with eat the foods that are filling. For the example, eat the meat first before starting on your vegetables. Protein is more filling than starchy foods like potatoes, pasta or rice so you'll end up eating less overall. Also you'll stay full longer.

3. Try to eat slowly. If you're someone who practically inhales your food, make it a habit to put your fork down between bites and have a sip or two of water. When you eat slowly, you will feel full with less food. When you eat too quickly, you'll eat a lot more before you feel full.

Bonus: 4. Don't fall victim to genetic tendencies. If your family has a history of being heavyset, it will be harder for you to lose weight. These tendencies can be worsened by not exercising and by eating the wrong kinds of foods. So be sure to get some exercise every day, (even walking) and try to avoid "junk-type" foods.

By following these tips, you will be able to throw away your negative feelings. Face the weight loss challenge, then you will be able to lose weight safely and maintain a healthy weight.
